Body Contouring

What is Body Contouring?

Body Contouring is a weight-loss treatment for reducing areas of fat deposits. Achieved by low-frequency sound waves it is a simple way of flushing fat from the body instead of surgery.

By targeting specific areas of the body with these low-frequency sound waves pressure is built up inside the fat cells which then causes them to break apart, releasing the contents into the body to disperse naturally through the lymphatic or urinary system. Through gentle heat and vibration, the fat cells liquefy and release their contents.

Because our fat cells do not multiply and our fat cell count remains relatively stable, the treatment is permanent and will not need to be repeated once the desired shape has been achieved although maintenance is required.

The treatment involves no surgery and no anesthesia; there is no hospital stay, no time off from work and no recovery time. Clients see immediate results and will continue to see results in the reduction of fat for up to 72 hours following the treatment.

The most common areas to treat are the buttocks, abdomen, love handles, male chest, upper arms, inner thighs and the chin area. It is especially effective in the removal of cellulite. Results do vary as each patient is different and some clients will slim down more dramatically than others.

How does Body Contouring work?

Treatments are typically limited to 20 minutes per segment, with a maximum of 2 segments treated per session. Three to Five days are generally required to make sure that all the released fats, membrane and toxins that may have been contained inside the fat cells are released through the lymphatic system.

Six to twelve sessions in localized areas may remove up to 10 inches of fat.

Is Body Contouring similar to Liposuction?

There are similar results, but the body contouring procedure takes longer but is non-invasive and works with your body’s natural elimination and detoxification processes.  Fat is removed gently without harming the vascular system and without postoperative symptoms such as scarring and pain.

Does it hurt?

Most clients consider the procedure painless and comfortable. During the treatment, there can be some gentle heat and some reddening, but it does not cause pain. Some people report there is a slight discomfort due to the specific low-frequency ultrasound noise, but it is harmless.

Is it safe?

Body Contouring is safe. It’s a non-surgical procedure, without anesthesia, non-invasive and allows you to carry on with your normal activities before and after the sessions.

Are the results permanent?

Like any other non-surgical cosmetic treatment, results are semi-permanent. The length of the results will solely depend on each individual clients lifestyle however typical results last six (6) months to two (2) years. We recommend exercising for a longer lasting result and monthly maintenance treatments are also an option.
